This farm offers a warm welcome to visitors and asks them to keep to the marked footpaths, keep dogs on the lead, and close all gates behind them.
"This is a traditional hill farm created and developed by generations of skilled and knowledgeable shepherds and farmers. The work of these families in the past, today, and in the future has combined care of animals with sensitive environmental management to produce a unique and invaluable asset for us all."
Four bridleways cross the farm, one of which is the ancient packhorse route across Styhead Pass to Seathwaite-in-Borrowdale, used by thousands of walkers each year.

The Bed & Breakfast service has 13 bed-places and achieves 60% occupation during the week and 90% at the weekend. The self catering cottage sleeps four and is almost fully booked throughout the year.
Cream teas are served for walkers during the summer (weather permitting). Open Farm Days are held each year; the date(s) of these are available from the farm.
