Church Stile Farm Holiday Park is set in a woodland clearing with views looking onto the Screes mountain range. The site offers facilities for tents and has pitches for privately owned static caravans. It is aimed at families, couples and walkers and has a play area for children. The business is proud of its David Bellamy Gold Award and, as well as managing the site to encourage wildlife, uses recycled paper for all farm and campsite paperwork, operates energy efficient lights and water saving devices. Fallen trees are chipped to make compost. The camp site also operates a recycling point which is open for use by the village as a communal resource. There is a woodland nature walk adjacent to the campsite.Nether Wasdale common is open for access and there are public footpaths across Church Stile Farm.

Nether Wasdale Village holds traditional celebrations over the Mayday weekend including Morris Men and Maypole dancing. The girls of the village wear a head garland and the boys wear flower button holes.
