COUNTRY LAND AND BUSINESS ASSOCIATION

Cumbria Farm Link is part of Cumbria Rural Enterprise Agency and provides help and advice, mostly free of charge, to new and existing farm businesses. Current programmes are:-

Farming Connect Cumbria which helps farmers to look at their businesses and draw up a sustainable development plan, with both business and environmental advisers. Help is also provided with funding applications to other schemes and 50% grants are potentially available for specialist consultancy work.  Farming Connect Cumbria comes to an end on 30th June 2008.

The Catchment Sensitive Farming Associates project which covers advice on reducing diffuse pollution and runs farm based demonstrations jointly with the Cumbria Farmer Network.
