CUMBRIA FELLS AND DALES LEADER+ PROGRAMME

The Cumbria Fells and Dales LEADER+ Programme is funded by DEFRA and the EU and is committed to giving help and financial support to farmers and local producers who are seeking new and different ways in which they can “add value to local products”.  In the past two years, over £1.5million has been committed to over 100 projects.  The programme is due to be completed at the end of March and will be replaced by the new Rural Development Programme from summer 2008.
