FACILITIES FOR VISITORS
Matson Ground has 4 self catering holiday cottages at Helm Farm near Windermere and the owner also runs 3 further cottages at another farm in Patterdale. More details can be viewed on their website at www.matsonground.co.uk
Matson Ground is a member of the Tourism and Conservation Partnership and invites clients to contribute £1 to red squirrel conservation.
FARM WALKS
Matson Ground hosts farm walks including school visits. This year, the farm acted as a training venue for other farmers interested in hosting farm walks organised by Friends of the Lake District.
The next farm walk takes place on 20th July 2008 – see the Flora of the Fells section on the website for details.
The farm also hosts school visits on request.

ACCESS
The farm is crossed by many footpaths including the Dales way which passes the farm yard. A popular walk runs from Bowness up to Brant Fell which gives outstanding views of Lake Windermere and the surrounding fells.
