A self-catering cottage was developed in the 1990’s. This was closed during Foot and Mouth Disease for bio-security reasons. It has now been made available as affordable rented accommodation for local people.
Original access to the farm came across the valley from the east; this was known as Heggle Lane. 100 years ago, a road from Mungrisedale to Haltcliffe was built which is still known as the ‘new road’; it is cobbled track running across the farm. There are no footpaths through the farm. Access to common is enshrined by CROW act.
