Mark Fox owns Wool Pack Farm Cottage which is a self catering barn conversion with three bedrooms. The accommodation is let through Sallys Cottages and more information is available at www.sallyscottages.co.uk/woolpack
ACCESS
Eskdale common includes Scafell and Scafell Pike and is all open access. Taw House has public footpaths providing both valley bottom walks and access to the fells including one of the main routes up Scafell Pike from Upper Eskdale.
RECREATIONAL FACILITIES
Mark Fox helps organize and participates at the annual Lakeland Shears event at Cockermouth auction held on the first Saturday in July. This is an international sheep shearing competition and the only one that uses Herdwick sheep.
Mark and Gillian Fox run Highway Shearing (UK) Ltd - a sheep shearing and animal clipping equipment and clothing specialist company. More details are available at www.highwayshearing.com.
