The farm runs a two bedroom self catering cottage sleeping 4 which is adjacent to the farm house. This is a perfect base for walkers and the holiday cottage actually contains some furniture once owned by Beatrix Potter!

ACCESS
The farm has a high density of footpaths with easy walks around the farm and access to the Coniston and Langdale fells for more serious fell walkers.
There are also two bridleways on the farm and an “Unclassified Country Road (UCR)”. This goes through the farmyard over to Fell Foot but is being increasingly eroded since the closure of the Walna Scar UCR.

Although there is an issue with erosion of the UCR, the main problems the Wilkinsons have are with walkers with dogs and the great number of people going through the farmyard particularly during holiday periods. This does lead to interruption of their farming activities and although the Wilkinsons welcome visitors they ask that they be sensitive to the farm being a working environment.
